On Thursday, August 8, the SDMUG presentation is on the continuing development of macOS Catalina, also known as OS 10.15. While still a work in progress, there’s a lot released by Apple and is now public knowledge, information useful for each of us to prepare for this significant upgrade. Board member Ray Fix will walk us through these new features (and there are a LOT of changes!), new hardware and software requirements, and generally give us a better idea of how to get prepared for Catalina’s release. Remember, no 32-bit applications will run on 10.15. Do you know which of your favorites are 32-bit, or if you have 64-bit alternatives? This presentation will give you the answers.
Our meetings are held in the Community Room of the La Jolla Village Square shopping center. The room is on the same floor as the underground parking next to Best Buy and the theaters. Enter from the parking garage, proceed about 200 feet, on the right. (Opposite the escalators that lead to the theater admission area.) If accessing from the outdoor parking, go to the theater’s box office, look for the escalators and go down one level. The Community Room entry is directly ahead, about 50 feet from the escalators.
